Morrisons has restocked its shelves with nostalgic Barratt retro sweets, sending 80s kids rushing to stores across the UK so they can try them for themselves.
Anyone who grew up in the 80s needs to pay attention, as Morrisons has introduced something to its shelves you won't want to miss. With summer rapidly approaching, it's officially time to switch to sweets season, because what could be better than enjoying a fun, fruity-flavoured treat when the sun is shining down? There's such a vast selection to pick from, so it can become slightly overwhelming - and the latest sweets arriving on Morrisons' shelves have added to that tricky choice.
Barratt sweets are steeped in heritage and memories, and they've introduced some nostalgic treats. Now shoppers are rushing to Morrisons to grab some for themselves. New Foods UK posted a collage of three photographs displaying the latest sweets on shelves. First up was a Fruit Salad fruity mix.
Happy Candy's website states: "This colourful 120g bag is packed with an irresistible mix of fruit-flavoured sweets, including apple, blackcurrant, white grape, pineapple, orange, pear and raspberry. Each bite delivers a soft, chewy texture and a mouth-watering fruity hit that keeps you reaching for more. Bright, bold and full of sweet shop nostalgia, this mix is perfect for sharing, topping up pick and mix displays or enjoying straight from the bag."
If you'd rather sample the WHAM tangy rockets, you're in for a delight, as it's a "nostalgic classic reimagined for a new generation of sweet lovers." Happy Candy reveals: "Part of Barratt's refreshed Sweetshop range, Tangy Rockets bring back the iconic flavours you know and love, now with a playful new look and even more attitude. Each bite is soft, chewy, and packed with that signature zingy hit that made WHAM a legend."
The third packet of sweets was the Fruit Salad squishy sunburst, which are described as being "inspired by the much-loved Fruit Salad chews" and they "deliver that unmistakable raspberry and pineapple flavour combination in a fun, squishy texture that melts satisfyingly with every bite".
In the comments section of New Foods UK's Instagram post, one person remarked the nostalgic sweets appeared incredibly "delicious," suggesting they'd be making a trip to the shop shortly to grab some for themselves. And that's not the only novelty appearing on shelves, either. Everyone adores birthday cake, don't they? It signals there's a major reason to celebrate, and whether it features a jam and buttercream centre, or a delightful chocolatey cake, chances are you'll probably want to return for another slice at some stage.
This explains why the latest launch in Morrisons stores from Mr Kipling has generated such excitement, as shoppers are seeking any opportunity to add a touch of happiness to their routines, and these cakes might be precisely what's needed! It's the birthday cake slices from Mr Kipling! All these treats are incredibly nostalgic, but if you had to select a bag, which one would you opt for? Share your thoughts in the comments...
