Prime Video has released the full official trailer for the latest series of The Grand Tour, introducing the new presenting line-up of Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman and Thomas Holland. The series premieres on 4th September 2026.
New presenting line-up revealed
The motoring show has been relaunched with a makeover, replacing the original trio Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May with a younger set of hosts. Francis Bourgeois, known as an internet trainspotter, joins YouTube stars James Engelsman and Thomas Holland, who co-present the channel Throttle House.
According to Prime Video, the self-confessed petrolheads were chosen for their large online followings. The trailer shows the three hosts taking on car-themed challenges across California, Malaysia and the desert of Angola.
Fan reactions to the trailer
After the trailer dropped on YouTube, viewers shared positive reactions. One person wrote: "It looks like they are genuinely having a great time and that there is real chemistry between them." Another said: "Whoa, watched these guys on YouTube for a long time. They are perfect for this."
A third viewer commented: "I was one of the people that said they have no chance and that I will never watch this show without the og trio. But this really looks great. I'm gonna give it a try!" A fourth added: "I'm a big fan of both the original trio and Throttle House. It's going to be great; different, but great." One fan exclaimed: "The addition of Francis is LEGENDARY."
Trailer content and cameos
The trailer opens with Francis Bourgeois saying in his familiar voice: "Welcome to our first Grand Tour!" It shows the trio skidding in race cars, getting hit by car park barriers, driving cut-up school buses, racing high-speed jets, and flipping a Tesla off an inflatable parachute.
Former presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May make a nostalgic cameo in the trailer. The new hosts also meet Formula One driver Jenson Button. The one-minute trailer has drawn positive comments from fans who were initially sceptical about the new line-up.
