Forest Legends Set for Boston Event

Three Nottingham Forest legends will bring their European glory stories to Boston this autumn. European Cup winners Viv Anderson, Tony Woodcock, and Garry Birtles will take to the stage at The Gliderdrome on September 25 to share insights from their time under legendary manager Brian Clough.

The trio played key roles during a golden era that saw the club conquer English and European football. Guests will be able to hear behind-the-scenes dressing room anecdotes alongside hilarious tales from their illustrious careers.

Decade of Dominance at the City Ground

Defender Viv Anderson spent a decade at Nottingham Forest after joining in 1974, making almost 330 competitive appearances. He earned 30 caps for England and became the first player signed by Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United in 1987.

Tony Woodcock also signed in 1974, playing more than 175 times over five years while winning 42 England caps. He picked up the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 1978 and scored in the 1979 Football League Cup Final.

Striker's Cup Final Heroics

Forward Garry Birtles scored twice in that same cup final victory over Southampton before moving to Manchester United in 1980. He returned to Forest in 1982 for five more seasons, netting more than 95 goals across 200 appearances.

The event offers a rare chance for long-time supporters to relive classic memories and younger fans to learn about English football history. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for an exclusive pre-show meet and photo session.
