Morrisons is introducing a new £15 rule at its supermarket cafes starting Friday morning. The supermarket chain is celebrating National Fish & Chip Day with a special £15 Fish & Chip Afternoon Tea for Two.
The limited-edition menu, available from Friday, June 5, also includes the launch of Giant Fish & Chips. The offer gives the classic afternoon tea a twist, swapping finger sandwiches for crispy fish bites, scampi, and chips. The supermarket giant, which has branches in Birmingham, confirmed the news on Thursday, June 4.
The £15 feast includes six fish bites, six scampi, bread and butter, chunky chips, a choice of mushy peas or curry sauce, plus two traditional fruit scones with jam and clotted cream. For customers seeking an even bigger portion, Morrisons has also launched Giant Fish & Chips for £15, featuring a large portion of fish served with chips and mushy peas.
These limited-edition dishes are available in all 343 Morrisons Cafés nationwide, allowing customers to enjoy a proper chippy-style treat without leaving the supermarket. Will Reed, Senior Buying Manager - Café at Morrisons, said: “National Fish & Chip Day is all about celebrating one of the nation’s best-loved meals, so we wanted to bring something big, fun and full of flavour to our Cafés this summer.” He added that both dishes deliver the comforting taste of a classic chippy tea with generous portions at great value, but are available only while stocks last.
