The school has shared the findings of its recent assessment, which was conducted under the new and more rigorous evaluation framework. Under these updated guidelines, schools no longer receive a single overall grade but are instead assessed across eight specific areas.
Strong Performance Across Key Areas
St Mary's achieved the 'strong standard' in four categories: attendance and behaviour, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing. In the remaining four areas—safeguarding, achievement, curriculum and teaching, and early years—the school met the 'expected standard'. Inspectors praised the school's commitment to its pupils, noting that inclusion is central to the vision for every child to succeed. The report also highlighted that leaders remain highly ambitious in their goal of 'building a positive future for all'.

The inspection team identified several key strengths, including effective communication between leaders, staff, pupils, parents, and carers. They also commended the school's positive behaviour, strong attendance figures, and its robust personal development programme.
