Sunningdale School Opens Transformed Library

A Sunningdale school has officially opened its beautifully transformed library to help inspire a love of reading. Holy Trinity CE Primary School revamped the space with help from housing provider Abri Homes. The Berkshire school aimed to create a much more engaging environment for pupils to learn and develop their skills.

New Features of the Library

Children can now enjoy fresh bookcases, a two-storey treehouse, new tables, and a calming wall mural. The project was funded through parent donations, school fundraising, and external support, and links with the Abri Homes development at nearby Sunningdale Park.

Headteacher's Comments

Mrs Griffith, Headteacher at Holy Trinity CE Primary School, commented: “With our refreshed library, we wanted to design a space which would spark a love of reading and provide pupils with an engaging environment to build literacy skills. This transformation was made possible through the generosity of supporters like Abri Homes and the parents of our pupils, which have truly brought the space back to life and will have a lasting impact on their learning journey.”

Abri Homes' Perspective

The housing provider hopes the new room will benefit the community for a long time. Mike Luthra at Abri Homes said: “It’s inspiring to see the school’s dedication to creating spaces that encourage imagination outside of the classroom. We’re pleased to support Holy Trinity CE Primary School, particularly given our close ties to the area with our Sunningdale Park development nearby. We hope all the pupils enjoy their new space and that the library is appreciated for years to come.”
