Career and Impact

Working at Dorset HealthCare, Sharman has spearheaded the development of the county's diabetic foot service and enhanced care across the region. Her work has significantly improved the management of complex foot conditions related to diabetes.

Sharman also serves as a lecturer at the University of Southampton, where she helps shape national care pathways and research. She recently completed an eight-year tenure as a specialist panel member for the Health and Care Professions Council, and continues to support colleagues through professional leadership and clinical advice.

The Award

The Royal College of Podiatry Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honour the college can bestow, strictly limited to just 25 living holders at any one time. The ceremony took place at The Royal Institution in London, attended by more than 160 guests.
