Staff at Priestley Rose Care Home in Erdington, part of the Macc Care Group, have raised £710 for Cancer Research UK after tackling the Pretty Muddy 5K challenge. The team of care home employees completed a 3.1-mile obstacle course as part of the charity's Race for Life series, which encourages participants of all abilities to raise funds for cancer research.
Team Spirit and Determination
Elizabeth Hunt, activities coordinator at Priestley Rose, described the event as an "unforgettable day" and praised the team's collective effort. "It was challenging at times, but we kept each other going and had so much fun along the way," she said. "It was lovely to do something together outside of work and to support a cause that means so much to so many people."
Support from the Community
Donations came in from across Birmingham to support the team's efforts. The funds raised will help Cancer Research UK continue its work in preventing, detecting, and treating cancer.
