Nodens Manor care home in Lydney, Gloucestershire, has launched a special appeal to collect 100 birthday cards for resident Brenda Beatrice Price, who will celebrate her 100th birthday on August 1. The team hopes to make the day memorable by gathering cards from the public.
Brenda's Life and Milestone
Brenda, originally from Barry Island, has lived a life of gratitude and kindness despite personal tragedy. She lost her son Gary to cancer when he was 34. Her secret to reaching 100 is drinking plenty of coffee.
How to Send Cards
Well-wishers can post cards to Nodens Manor at Naas Lane, Lydney, Gloucestershire, GL15 5AU, ensuring they are sent by Thursday, July 25 to arrive in time. Alternatively, cards can be hand-delivered up to her birthday on Saturday, August 1.
Manager's Appeal
Naomi D’Andrea, manager at Nodens Manor, said: "We always want to make the birthdays of our residents as memorable as possible, and with this one being especially significant, we decided to launch the appeal so we could give our resident as many birthday cards as we possibly can on the morning of her birthday. We can’t wait to see the look on her face when we give her the cards!"
