Scarlett Moffatt has described her third trimester as "the most painful experience" as she approaches her due date, sharing a detailed rant about her symptoms on Instagram. The former Gogglebox star, who is expecting her second baby boy with her fiancé Scott Dobinson in the coming weeks, said she is "so uncomfortable" with a range of ailments.
The couple, who already share three-year-old son Jude, announced the pregnancy in April 2026 and later revealed they are having another boy. The I'm A Celeb winner is just weeks away from giving birth in the autumn, though she has not shared an exact calendar date.
Scarlett's Detailed Rant on Pregnancy Symptoms
Speaking in a video uploaded to Instagram, Scarlett said: "Ladies, I'm going to go on a rant right now because why have octopuses evolved where if you chop a tentacle off it just grows back...yet pregnancy is everything."
She continued: "Why is this the most painful experience when we've been doing it forever? Since humans were alive. Why has it not evolved to not be this painful? Like honestly if it's not heartburn or indigestion, it's restless legs, my sciatica starts. I feel so uncomfortable."
Scarlett also described random shooting pains, adding: "I keep getting random shooting pains up me hoop when I'm minding me own business. Then I feel like I'm carrying the weight of the world literally on me cervix."
Sleep Struggles and Food Aversions
The TV star detailed her difficulties sleeping, saying: "Then I try and sleep on my left hand side, no sorry a full numb body. You can't feel your body now, it's like you've had a spinal block just while you're trying to rest."
She also complained about food aversions, stating: "And then I can't even have the joy of eating the foods that I like because for some reason my brain's like 'no you can't eat that it'll be disgusting'."
Scarlett had earlier opened up about having a tough start to the pregnancy, describing the early stages as "horrific" and "intense" with morning sickness, migraines, and hot flushes.
Family Announcement and Recent Grief
Scarlett and Scott announced they were expecting their second child in April, sharing a video with their son Jude as he held a personalised newspaper with a headline saying: "Baby Dobinson another miracle coming soon!"
Alongside the post, the couple wrote: "We honestly can't believe we're writing this… After everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say… our family is growing. One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he's going to be a big brother. And if there's one thing we know for certain, it's that he is going to be the most amazing big brother. We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock… Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible."
Scarlett has been facing a tough personal time recently with both her and her partner facing grief in recent weeks. The TV star announced last month the sad news that her grandad had passed away, writing: "Unfortunately, more sad news for our family this week. My grandad Moffatt has sadly passed away. Me, Scott and all our family really appreciate all of the love and kindness you've shown us following the loss of Janice and now my grandad. Thank you so much."
The upsetting news came just days after Scarlett announced that her mother-in-law, Janice, had also died. At the time, she penned on Instagram: "My heart is broken for Scott and all of his family at the loss of his mam Janice. You were the best Nanna to Jude, the kindest mother-in-law and one of the loveliest people I've ever known. I'm so upset that you won't get to meet your second grandson, but I know you will be watching over us all." She later described it as the 'hardest month' of her life.
