Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has shared the gruesome details of a painful dental mishap, after an unfortunate collision with a taxi window left her with two cracked front teeth.
A Pre-Broadcast Dental Emergency
The popular ITV host took to her Instagram account on Monday, 14th January 2026, to post a video revealing the damaged caps on her teeth. She explained that the incident occurred over the weekend when she collided with the window of a taxi.
In a frantic attempt to be ready for the early morning broadcast, Kate tried to secure the broken fragments using Fixodent denture adhesive at 3 a.m. just before going on air with Richard Madeley. However, the temporary fix failed moments before the live broadcast began, leaving the tooth piece dislodged.

Captioning her Instagram post, Garraway wrote: "Backstage dramas @gmb - and for once it's real! Letting you in on the horror behind the scenes on Monday's show..."
She humorously added about the challenge of appearing "young and cool" in front of new producers while gluing her teeth back on. Following the on-air scare, she made an emergency trip to the dentist and was fitted with a temporary set of false teeth.
Kate joked about their size, referencing comedian Alan Carr, and expressed hope they would hold for Tuesday's 6 a.m. show, stating she would have glue at the ready.

This isn't the first time Kate has faced a frightening transport-related incident. In 2020, she experienced a terrifying motorway ordeal when a back tyre on her car exploded, sending smoke and rubber flying as she lost control, narrowly avoiding a serious accident.
