A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service provided a detailed account, saying, "We were called at 10.30am on Monday 5 May 2025 to Mill Lane, Shenstone, following reports of a burnt-out aircraft. We attended the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service. Sadly, a man inside the aircraft was pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters carried out an inspection of the aircraft before leaving the scene at 12pm the next day."

West Midlands Ambulance Service also commented on the incident, with a spokesperson adding, "We were called to an incident near to Mill Lane in Shenstone, Lichfield at 10.32am on Monday, May 5, 2025 and sent a paramedic officer to the scene. On arrival, one patient was found. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save them and they were confirmed dead at the scene."
