Fire crews from four stations were called to tackle a blaze at a derelict building in the West Midlands. The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, with crews from Tipton, Wednesbury, West Bromwich, and Dudley responding to the incident.
Firefighting Efforts
Upon arrival, firefighters found the building well alight. They used hose reel jets and main jets to bring the fire under control. Crews worked to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties.
No Injuries Reported
West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire investigators are expected to examine the scene once it is safe.
The incident caused disruption to local traffic as roads were closed to allow emergency vehicles access. Residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
Fire crews remained on scene for several hours to dampen down hotspots and ensure the fire was fully extinguished. The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
