A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a severe road traffic collision in Birmingham that left two individuals injured. The passenger, a man, was found in a critical condition and required extrication from the wreckage with assistance from fire service colleagues. He received advanced trauma care at the scene before being transported on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment. His condition upon arrival at the A&E department was described as life-threatening.
The driver, also a man, sustained serious injuries and was already out of the vehicle when emergency services arrived. He was treated by ambulance staff and conveyed to the same hospital for additional care.
