Angry Ginge Opens Up on Sister's Mental Health Battle After I'm A Celeb Trolling
Angry Ginge reveals sister's mental health struggles

The winner of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, Angry Ginge, has publicly addressed his sister's significant mental health struggles for the first time. This comes in the wake of intense online trolling and misgendering directed at his sister, Tasha, following her brief appearance on the ITV show's finale on 17 December 2025.

Family Support Turns to Online Hate

During the heartwarming final segment of the reality series, the remaining celebrities were surprised by visits from loved ones. Angry Ginge was reunited with his mother and sister Tasha in a moment meant to celebrate his journey. However, the family's joy was quickly marred by a wave of cruel comments and abuse targeting Tasha on social media platforms.

Despite the negativity, Tasha had proudly stated she would "go through it all again to support him." Now, her brother has chosen to speak out in a new interview with GQ magazine, shedding light on her personal battles to contextualise the impact of the online hate.

Normalising Mental Health Conversations

In the interview, the social media star explained that discussions around mental wellbeing were a normal part of his upbringing. "I grew up in a house where mental health was a massive thing, because my sister suffered with it immensely, and my mum worked in mental health as well, so it's always been kind of normal to me," Ginge revealed.

He expressed surprise that his simple statement in the jungle – "Men cry too" – was seen as a major moment by viewers. "When I got out and my mum told me... it was a big moment in the show, I was kind of surprised, because to us that's just normal," he said. Ginge added his belief that critics of such openness are "probably just a bit insecure."

Fans Rally in Defence Against Trolls

Following the finale, Tasha herself spoke to tabloids about the difficult experience of watching the show and facing subsequent trolling. She reiterated her unwavering support for her brother but acknowledged the challenge. The online community was swift to condemn the abuse, with many fans rushing to her defence on platforms like X.

One supporter wrote: "We need to protect Angry Ginge’s sister at all costs from these horrible little keyboard warriors," while another stated simply: "People are vile making fun of ginges sister."

While Ginge did not detail the specific nature of his sister's past struggles, he emphasised the need for greater normalisation of mental health conversations. He modestly declined the label of role model, saying, "I wouldn't say I'm a role model, but I think it just needs normalising a little bit more." His landslide victory on the show has now been overshadowed by this more personal and poignant discussion about family, resilience, and the dark side of fame.
