Former glamour model Katie Price has publicly addressed growing concerns about her slender frame, firmly denying rumours she has been using weight-loss injections known as 'skinny jabs'.
IVF and Injury Cited as Key Factors
Speaking candidly on the Disruptors podcast with Rob Moore, Price revealed that her recent weight loss is a return to her 'natural' size after a difficult period. She explained that she gained weight during three rounds of IVF treatment over 15 months, all of which were unsuccessful.
"Anyone you know who's had IVF, you put on weight. I had three IVFs the past 15 months. They all failed," she stated. This was compounded by a serious foot injury that left her immobile. "I was in a wheelchair for 10 months... so obviously you're going to put on weight because you're not moving about."
A Direct Denial and Family Concerns
When directly questioned about using weight-loss injections, Price was categorical in her response. She said 'no', insisting she has 'always been skinny' and doesn't need them. However, she did reveal that her eldest son, Harvey Price, will be starting the jabs for medical reasons.
Her comments follow reports that her family have been holding "honest" and "open" conversations with her about her welfare, including her mental health and weight loss. A source told the Mirror these talks come "from a place of love, care and support".
Mixed Reaction from the Public
Since the podcast aired, public reaction has been divided. Some fans continue to express deep worry on social media, with comments describing her as "painfully thin" and noting she has "lost way too much weight".
Others have been quick to defend her, suggesting her figure is natural and attributing her appearance to her proportions. One supporter wrote: "She's fine, she eats well. Her large chest just makes her look smaller."
Price concluded by emphasising her return to activity now that her feet have healed, including horse riding, which has helped her regain her athletic build naturally.
