The extraordinary physical demands of Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour have been laid bare, with her personal trainer warning that her brutal workout routine could leave the average person needing to lie down – or worse.
The "Professional Athlete" Regimen
In a revelation that has stunned Swifties, Kirk Myers, Taylor Swift's trainer and owner of Dogpound Gym, detailed the six-days-a-week training schedule crafted to turn the pop icon into a touring powerhouse. Myers explained they approached her preparation with the mindset of training a professional athlete, complete with distinct 'off-season' and 'in-season' phases.
During periods when she was not on the road, Swift committed to gruelling sessions in the gym up to six days a week, for as long as two hours each day. The focus was squarely on building strength, endurance, and a powerful core – the essential foundation for surviving her marathon performances.
Inside the Infamous Treadmill Sessions
Swift herself previously offered a glimpse into her unique cardio routine in a TIME magazine Person of the Year profile. To build the stamina needed to perform for over three hours, she embarked on a now-legendary treadmill protocol.
"Every day I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud," Swift disclosed. Her pace would shift with the music: sprinting for the fast songs and jogging or walking briskly during the slower numbers. Given the Eras Tour setlist spans 45 songs and lasts approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes, these sessions were a monumental feat of endurance in themselves.
No Rest for the World's Biggest Star
Remarkably, the intense training did not cease once the tour began. Even while performing multiple nights in a row, Swift continued to train twice weekly on top of her shows. Myers emphasised the sheer physical toll, noting the incredible dedication required.
"If you’ve seen the show, you know how intense it is physically. Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few off days and you’re still showing up to gym. That’s Taylor," he told Vogue.
He issued a stark warning to any fans considering emulating her regimen: "Some people would probably throw up or have to lay down on the floor if they trained like her." This candid admission underscores the vast gap between the fitness levels required for a global stadium tour and a typical gym session.
The revelations, emerging in December 2025, finally explain how Swift has been able to consistently deliver electrifying, high-energy performances night after night since the Eras Tour launched in March 2023, leaving audiences worldwide in awe of her seemingly superhuman stamina.
