Lois Bramall, a former councillor, trained trauma counsellor and 2026 Liberal Democrat candidate, has launched a monthly advice surgery at a coffee shop in Wollaston. The 'Latte with Lois' sessions take place at Screamin Beans café on Wollaston High Street on the second Wednesday of each month.
Residents are invited to use the relaxed setting to raise concerns and seek support on a range of issues, from council matters to personal difficulties. Ms Bramall emphasised that the service is open to everyone, stating: "Sometimes people just need someone to listen and point them in the right direction."
Supporting residents on local issues
Ms Bramall has already helped residents with housing evictions, supporting survivors of domestic abuse, challenging unfair parking fines, and reporting potholes and other neighbourhood problems. She works alongside Councillor Andrew Tromans and the Stourbridge Liberal Democrat team.
Concerns raised during the sessions are followed up with Dudley Council, police, and other relevant organisations. Ms Bramall added: "Whether it's a council issue, a community concern or something more personal, everyone is welcome to come along for a chat. If we can help, we will."
