The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are understood to be planning a return to live in the United Kingdom for an 'extended period'. Reports indicate that their children, Archie and Lilibet, are set to enroll at a British school.
Family to move into non-royal residence
According to the Daily Mail, the family will move into a non-royal residence and will not be working royals. The Duke and Duchess last met the King and Queen Camilla at Highgrove in Gloucestershire last month.
King informed of plans
The Press Association understands that the King was made aware on Sunday that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to return to live in the UK. He welcomes the opportunity to see more of the family in a personal capacity, but there will be no change in their status as private individuals.
No change in status
The King's response indicates that while he is pleased to have more family contact, the Duke and Duchess will remain private individuals, not working royals. This arrangement aligns with their previous statements about stepping back from royal duties.
