Under the new rules, the 2027 cast will be limited to a single drink during the evening at dinner parties. The restrictions have also been extended to the couples' apartments, with some couples prevented from keeping alcohol in their rooms. A source explained: "Each couple is given a limit, and some are not allowed alcohol in their rooms. It depends on who becomes argumentative when they are drinking and who doesn't."
An insider revealed the restrictions were introduced after arguments continued away from the cameras, raising concerns about participant welfare and behaviour inside the experiment. The source added: "It is because some of them drink and argue when the cameras are down."
Incidents involving Brook Crompton and Bec Zacharia
The move follows several explosive incidents in recent seasons. Brook Crompton and Gia Fleur verbally attacked their fellow brides during the second Dinner Party, while Bec Zacharia took aim at all the cast during a dinner party. These moments have become a hallmark of the show, with longtime viewers accustomed to fiery fallouts at the dinner table.
After the second Dinner Party, Brook and Gia issued apologies for their behaviour, accusing producers of "egging on" the situation. Brook reportedly became concerned about the edit after filming and emailed Channel 9 in a series of messages.
