Man charged over Soho Road pharmacy burglary
A man is due in court today after being charged with burgling a pharmacy on Soho Road in Birmingham. Vahid Azimi, 48, from Birmingham, faces charges of burglary, theft from a motor vehicle, and driving without insurance. He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 21.
Details of the break-in
The pharmacy was broken into on the morning of Saturday, June 27. Investigators from West Midlands Police discovered that the vehicle used in the burglary had false plates, which had been stolen from another car a few days earlier. The Operation Fearless team led the investigation, working closely with businesses and partners on Soho Road.
Arrest and court appearance
Azimi was arrested yesterday in Birmingham city centre. Detective Inspector Tom Lyons of West Midlands Police said: "Working closely with businesses and other partners is key as we aim to make this area safer for everyone. We're listening to concerns and making sure we take appropriate action to address them. Proactive work will continue as we arrest suspects and carry out investigations, and I would urge anyone with information to speak to our officers."

Vahid Azimi, 48, from Birmingham, is due before Birmingham Magistrates Court today charged with burglary, theft from a motor vehicle, and driving without insurance. It comes after a pharmacy on Soho Road was broken into early on Saturday, June 27. Operation Fearless officers began investigating and found that a vehicle used in the burglary was on false plates, which had been stolen from another car a few days before.
