Streamer Tops the Betting for Jungle Crown
Morgan Burtwistle, the online personality known to his two million followers as Angryginge, has emerged as the clear frontrunner to win the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! According to the latest odds from bookmaker Betfred, the streamer is the 3/1 favourite to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle when the show returns to ITV.
The Frontrunners for the Jungle Throne
Hot on Angryginge's heels in the betting is Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson, who is given a 9/2 chance of victory. They are followed closely by a duo of well-known names, both priced at 6/1: rapper Aitch, who hails from the same city as the favourite, and former EastEnders actor and Spandau Ballet member Martin Kemp. This leading quartet of contestants are the ones to watch as the competition begins.
Robert Ford, a spokesperson for Betfred, confirmed the early market sentiment. He stated, "Angryginge has been installed as our 3/1 favourite to win this year's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here." He went on to highlight the streamer's significant online presence and his status as the "clear early favourite."
Complete List of Contestants and Their Odds
The bookmakers have also released the full list of odds for the other celebrities entering the jungle. Just outside the immediate frontrunners are Jack Osbourne at 7/1 and Loose Women panelist Lisa Riley at 8/1.
A group of three celebrities are all tied at 16/1:
- Former Arsenal defender and presenter Alex Scott
- Model and actress Kelly Brook
- Media personality Vogue Williams
Further down the list, Shona McGarty is priced at 12/1. Meanwhile, comedian Eddie Kadi and TV personality Ruby Wax are considered the rank outsiders, both sitting at 40/1.
Ford added a note of caution for punters, indicating that the odds are highly likely to change, saying, "Expect big shifts in the market when the show airs for the first time on November 16th." Viewers won't have long to wait to see the first bush tucker trials, with the launch scheduled for mid-November.
