The suspense surrounding the late arrivals for I'm A Celebrity 2025 has finally been broken, with Irish television presenter Vogue Williams and Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson confirmed for the coveted roles.
Continuing a Deceptive Tradition
This jungle tactic follows the precedent set in the previous series, where Reverend Richard Coles and Maura Higgins successfully deceived their fellow campmates. While their colleagues endured the standard camp hardships, the duo was secretly living in luxury, tasked with maintaining the illusion of shared deprivation.
This year, Williams and Wilson are poised to enter the star-studded environment, which already includes contestants such as Angry Ginge, Ruby Wax, and Martin Kemp. While the specific details of their arrival challenge remain under wraps, Vogue Williams has already hinted at the kind of drama she plans to bring.
Vogue's 'Traitors-Style' Mischief
Speaking to tabloids, Williams expressed her enthusiasm for stirring the pot. "I wouldn’t mind causing a bit of mischief," she revealed. "A bit like Traitors vibes, 100 per cent. A bit of fun in camp. I don’t want to annoy anyone, but I think I’m very much willing to go along with the game."
The mum-of-three also shared her very practical preparations for the infamous jungle shower scenes, noting her search for "more padded bikinis, to be fair, because I don’t have any boobs." She clarified the strict kit limitations, stating, "We’re not allowed to bring that many sets in. We’re allowed to bring four, which is kind of easy to narrow down really. Then two pairs of knicks, and that’s it. That’s all you go in with."
Tom Read Wilson's Pre-Jungle Jitters
In contrast to Williams' confident preparations, Tom Read Wilson has admitted to experiencing significant nerves ahead of the experience. He confessed to having a "little bit of a wobble" just days before heading into the jungle.
He explained the source of his anxiety to the Daily Mail, highlighting the separation from his loved ones. "I've got a lot of small people in my life. I've got five Godkids and three nephews, all of whom I speak to multiple times a week and see multiple times a month. So that is going to be a real wrench. I think that's why I had a wobble," he said.
Fortunately, Wilson received some unexpectedly profound advice from his driver, Abdi, who used a powerful analogy. "'Look at that enormous tree outside the car,'" Tom recalled Abdi saying. "'If I told you to climb that tree, you'd be very daunted'. But he said, 'once you'd started, you'd find a little groove to put your foot in. You'd find a branch that would bear your weight. Before you knew it, piecemeal, you'd be in the canopy and you wouldn't know how you got there.'"
Wilson described this advice as "perfect," adding, "I was so, so delighted because it just suddenly put everything in perspective. So I think I've got the same fear, but he really contextualised it for me." With their unique mindsets and a secret mission, the arrival of Vogue and Tom is set to shake up the camp dynamics.
