Angry Ginge's Jungle Plea Backfires as ITV Changes I'm A Celeb Rules
I'm A Celebrity rule change thwarts Angry Ginge's plan

Popular content creator Angry Ginge saw his clever strategy for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fall apart before even entering the jungle, thanks to a major rule change by ITV bosses.

The Five-Word Plea That Started It All

During a livestream to his followers, the YouTube and Twitch star made a direct and simple request: 'vote for me for everything'. His logic was sound – by being voted for every Bushtucker Trial, he would guarantee maximum screen time, a crucial element for any contestant's popularity on the hit reality show.

This tactic was revealed by former campmate Nicola McLean, who appeared on the show in 2008. She credited her 15-year-old son with the insight, stating he believed the new rule was a direct response to Ginge's livestream comments.

ITV's Game-Changing Rule

However, ITV introduced a significant new regulation for the current series that directly counters such plans. The new rule states that celebrities are only permitted to undertake two consecutive trials. This change was implemented to ensure a fair distribution of airtime among all contestants and to prevent viewers from repeatedly voting for the same person.

The move effectively eliminates the possibility of one participant dominating the trial schedule, ensuring all campmates have an equal opportunity to face the jungle's challenges and, consequently, feature prominently in the episodes.

What's Next for Angry Ginge and the Camp?

Despite the setback to his initial plan, Angry Ginge is still very much in the thick of the action. Tonight's instalment, airing at 9pm on ITV1, will see him take on his second Bushtucker Trial. He will be joined by fellow celebrities Aitch and Kelly Brook as they enter 'Camp Fright', where they are promised encounters with 'scary spiders, terrifying toads and a feast of fish eyes'.

Viewers can also expect to see two new faces enter the jungle: Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson from Celebs Go Dating. For fans wanting more, I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked airs on ITV2 immediately after the main show.
