Planning applications registered with Rossendale Borough Council up to the week ending Friday, June 19, include a range of proposals from domestic extensions to a major wind turbine development.
Major Wind Turbine Development
A major application has been submitted for the construction and operation of a wind turbine, along with an associated site access track, crane hardstanding, substation compound, and other infrastructure on land at Reaps Moss, Todmorden Road, Bacup.
Domestic Extensions and Alterations
Several householder applications have been received. A proposed single-storey extension to connect the outhouse to the main house and enlarge the garden side is planned at 1 Chapel Terrace, Meadow Park, Ramsbottom, Bury. Another application seeks demolition of an existing conservatory and erection of a new single-storey rear extension, along with a single garage conversion to create a lounge and snug at 4 Hall Close, Reeds Holme, Rossendale. Dormers to the front and rear of the existing loft are proposed at 4 Regent Street, Bacup. A single-storey side extension is planned at 6 Church Court, Edenfield, Bury. Replacement of the front door and rear ground floor kitchen window is proposed at 34 Bury Road, Haslingden, Rossendale.
Retention and Reuse of Advertisement Frames
Retention of three existing metal frames with no current advertisement installed for reuse is sought at Hazel Mill, Blackburn Road, Haslingden, Rossendale. New non-illuminated advertisement display boards, each measuring approximately 3000mm x 3000mm, are proposed for installation to these frames.
Confirmation of Material Operations
A confirmation has been submitted that material operations relating to the approved development under reference 2018/0345 began prior to the expiration date of that application, giving rise to a lawful material start to the approved development at Higher Barn Piggery, Roundhill Road, Haslingden, Rossendale.
Change of Use to Residential Care Home
A proposal has been made to use the dwellinghouse at 35 Tonacliffe Road, Whitworth, Rochdale as a small residential care home (Use Class C2), providing care and accommodation for up to four children and young people supported by staff on a 24-hour rota basis.
