Householder and Agricultural Applications
Rossendale Borough Council has published the latest planning applications registered up to the week ending Friday, July 10. Among the submissions is a proposal to raise the land level within the rear garden at 55 Ramsey Avenue, Bacup, to create an extended level patio area. This would be facilitated by the construction of a retaining wall and associated works, including the addition of boundary fencing.
Additionally, an application has been made for the construction of an agricultural building with hardstanding at land north of Edge Cote Farm, Hurst Lane, Rawtenstall, Rossendale.
New Dwelling and Residential Extensions
A Permission in Principle application seeks the erection of one dwelling at Top O Th Lea, Bury Old Road, Shuttleworth, Ramsbottom, Bury. Meanwhile, a rear two-storey extension is proposed at 7 Colldale Terrace, Haslingden, Rossendale.
At 41 Holland Avenue, Rawtenstall, a variation of Condition 2 (Approved Plans) pursuant to approval 2026/0020 is sought. The variation aims to extend the projection of the single-storey element of the approved extension by 680mm.
Another application involves removing an existing conservatory and replacing it with an extension at 16 Waingate Close, Rawtenstall. A rear single-storey extension is also proposed at 27 Hardman Drive, Cowpe, Rossendale.
Tree Works and Other Applications
Works to trees within TPO T2/44/G5, specifically T1 (Remove), are proposed at 14 Victoria Court, Haslingden. Additionally, works to a sycamore tree within TPO T2/80 (Fell) are planned at land at Springhill, Stacksteads, Bacup.
A discharge of Condition 20 (Drainage only) for Phase 2 at Haslingden Road Compound is being sought pursuant to planning permission 2021/0275 at Haweswater Aqueduct Valve House, Haslingden Road, Rawtenstall.
