Rossendale Borough Council has registered a new batch of planning applications for the week ending Friday, August 14. The applications cover a range of developments, from a home-based fitness studio to a major residential scheme of 39 dwellings.
Householder applications: extensions, porches, and a gym
Among the householder applications, a proposal at 25 Foxwell Close, Haslingden, seeks permission for a freestanding garden building to be used as a private personal training studio. The building would be ancillary to the residential dwelling and also support a home-based fitness and lifestyle coaching business.
At 21 Union Road, Rawtenstall, plans include a two-storey side extension, a first-floor extension over the existing garage, a garage conversion, and a new front porch. Another application at Norland, Hurst Lane, Rawtenstall, proposes a ridge height increase, dormer extensions, a first-floor extension, and the creation of off-street parking.
A front porch with a pitched roof is proposed at 2 The Drive, Edenfield, Bury.
Commercial and advertisement applications
At 40 Bank Street, Rawtenstall, a full application seeks alterations to the appearance of the existing shop front, including the addition of lighting and a projecting canopy. An external extraction unit would be added to the side elevation of the building.
An advertisement consent application for the same address proposes two fascia signs and one projecting hanging sign, with the fascia signs illuminated using soffit and upper sign lighting.
Residential and mixed-use developments
Green Head Farm, Burnley Road, Bacup, is the subject of a demolition application to remove an existing agricultural building and erect one dwelling.
Outdoor seating for serving food and drink is proposed at 8 Deardengate, Haslingden.
A full application has been submitted for the erection of 39 dwellings and the creation of public open space on land west of Great Clough Drive, Loveclough.
Another residential development is proposed on land to the north of 352/354 Burnley Road East, Waterfoot.
