Cherubs Angels Netball Club in Cardiff has just experienced a weekend to remember. The Cardiff-based netball club emerged victorious in the National Club Championship Finals over the weekend at the House of Sport in Leckwith, securing titles in both the Under-12s and Under-14s age groups in front of their home supporters.
A Remarkable Achievement
This is a remarkable weekend for the club and a great success for these talented young girls. The club, founded by sisters Vikki Healan and Michelle Waddon, was established more than seven years ago in a small dance studio with just six children, including their own daughters Brooke, Mya, and Callie.
Double Success
The Under-12s team also topped their age group, adding to the club's impressive accomplishments. This is a massive achievement for the club and the talented young girls. The club now boasts more than 200 girls across teams and classes from age three up to 16, as well as nine adult teams.
The hard work and dedication to netball shown by these sisters is endless, along with their amazing coaching team. The sisters have also worked hard to establish and create Cardiff Netball Arena in Splott, Cardiff, specifically for girls' sport, as they found space and arenas difficult to obtain. The venue, formerly an old run-down unused building, is now a thriving sports facility.
This just goes to show what a dream, hard work, and dedication can create, with lots of support from the Cherubs' parents and families.
