Aston Villa talisman Morgan Rogers is attracting interest from some of European football's biggest clubs, with Arsenal identifying an alternative target and Bayern Munich's stance becoming clear.
Bayern Munich Interest
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany is an admirer of Aston Villa’s in-demand forward Morgan Rogers – but the price tag might be too high for the German giants. Rogers has enjoyed a superb rise since moving to Villa Park from Middlesbrough in January 2024 to become one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old helped Villa qualify for the Champions League and win the Europa League last term, ending their 30-year trophy drought. There is an expectation that offers will arrive for Rogers, who is currently in North America hoping to help England win the World Cup.
Villa's Valuation
Villa boss Unai Emery hopes to keep Rogers, and a price tag of around £100 million, which would match the club’s biggest ever sale when Jack Grealish joined Manchester City in 2021, has been mooted. That price tag could be too high for Bayern, despite Kompany taking a shine to Rogers.
FC Bayern insider Christian Falk said: "It is TRUE: Vincent Kompany is interested in Morgan Rogers, likes the Aston Villa star and would like to have him in Munich. However, the price tag is very high, and there are simply too many Premier League clubs following the Englishman."
Arsenal's Alternative
Premier League champions Arsenal are one of the English clubs following Rogers, but an alternative target for the Gunners has emerged. Nottingham Forest talisman Morgan Gibbs-White is apparently on Arsenal's radar as an alternative to Rogers. Gibbs-White scored 15 goals in the Premier League last season but missed out on a place in the England squad for the World Cup.
