Families across the Braintree district are being invited to take advantage of free swimming sessions throughout August, courtesy of Freedom Leisure and Braintree District Council. The offer is available at three local pools: Braintree Swimming and Fitness, Halstead Leisure Centre, and Witham Leisure Centre, all operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of the council.
Encouraging Activity and Family Time
The scheme is designed to encourage families to keep active, enjoy quality time together, and make the most of the school holidays. Complimentary access to swimming sessions is provided at all three venues. The free sessions also form part of both organisations' continued dedication to helping residents manage the cost of living, ensuring families can access affordable activities while easing the financial burden of keeping children entertained over the summer break.
Additional Low-Cost Activities
Alongside the free family swimming sessions, the leisure centres will host a wide variety of activities for children of all ages throughout the holidays, including inflatables, and fun and floats sessions. A range of £1 badminton, table tennis, squash, and track sessions will also be on offer at selected centres across the Braintree district, giving families even more budget-friendly ways to stay active.
