Holiday operator Jet2 has significantly expanded its popular Christmas Markets programme, announcing a new route and a total of eight enchanting European destinations available from Birmingham Airport for the Winter 2026/2027 season.
New Copenhagen Flights from Birmingham
In a major expansion, Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will operate flights to Copenhagen from Birmingham Airport for the very first time next winter. The new service to the Danish capital will run with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays.
The schedule is set for the peak festive period, operating from 19th November to 20th December 2026. This addition allows UK travellers to experience Copenhagen's renowned festive atmosphere, often described as a fairytale winter playground.

The introduction of the Copenhagen route means Jet2 will offer getaways to eight premier Christmas market cities from its Birmingham base during the 2026/2027 winter season. The full list of destinations now includes:
- Budapest
- Cologne
- Copenhagen (New for 2026/27)

Flights and package city breaks to these locations will be available from November 2026 through to January 2027, covering the entire festive period.
Responding to High Customer Demand
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, stated that the expansion is a direct response to sustained demand from customers and independent travel agents. He highlighted the desire to explore Europe's most magical winter wonderlands.
"We are delighted to be putting a brand-new festive route on sale to Copenhagen from Birmingham Airport and giving holidaymakers even more choice for Winter 2026/2027," said Mr Heapy. "We look forward to taking holidaymakers to popular Christmas market destinations and helping them to feel at their most festive."
The programme is designed for those seeking an authentic Christmas market experience, from the iconic canalside stalls of Nyhavn in Copenhagen to the ice-skating rinks of the historic Tivoli Gardens.
