Kyogo Furuhashi has left Birmingham City. The 31-year-old Japanese striker has departed St. Andrew’s after just one season at the club to join MLS club LA Galaxy.
Disappointing Season at Birmingham
Kyogo only scored three goals in 31 outings for Blues last season after a high profile transfer from Rennes. Blues were understood to be open to offers for him towards the end of the January transfer window and he had slipped down the pecking order under manager Chris Davies.
Manager's Doubts and Further Departures
Davies had cast doubt over the future of Kyogo and Kai Wagner, after leaving them out of last week’s pre-season friendly against Solihull Moors, with Wagner since also moving to MLS with a return to Philadelphia Union.
