Jet2 has announced the launch of flights and holidays to Tunisia from Birmingham Airport for Summer 2027, providing a direct route to a country boasting year-round sunshine and rich culture. The new service will operate two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May 1 to October 30, 2027, connecting the West Midlands to the North African nation in just over three hours.

Flight Details and Destinations

The flights to Tunisia will land at Enfidha-Hammamet Airport, serving resorts including Port el Kantaoui, Skanes, Mahdia, Sousse, Yasmine Hammamet, and Hammamet. Customers booking with Jet2holidays can choose from a range of 3 to 5-star hotels. Visitors can explore the ancient ramparts of Sousse, sip mint tea by cliffside houses, or watch traditional fishing boats in Mahdia. Further south, the scenery shifts to shimmering salt flats and hidden desert outposts.

Expansion at Birmingham Airport

This addition brings Jet2's total destinations from Birmingham Airport to 68 for Summer 2027, including six new routes: Tunisia, Bergerac, Hurghada, Jersey, Kavala (Thassos), and Sharm el Sheikh. According to Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, the airline is thrilled to offer more choice to customers and independent travel agents, highlighting Tunisia's year-round sunshine, rich culture, and fantastic sunshine as key attractions. Matthew Hazelwood, Chief Commercial Officer at Birmingham Airport, welcomed the announcement, noting that Tunisia remains a popular destination. He said, "In just over three hours from Birmingham Airport, holidaymakers can discover a diverse and beautiful landscape, from national parks and Mediterranean beaches to the Sahara Desert and the Atlas Mountains." The route is now on sale for travel from summer 2027, available as flight-only with Jet2.com or as a package holiday with Jet2holidays.
