West Midlands Ambulance Service was alerted to the collision at Alscot Park, just off the A3400 in Atherstone on Stour, Stratford-upon-Avon, at 2.10pm. Reports indicated a crash involving a cyclist and a car, leading to the deployment of multiple resources.

Immediate Aid Provided by Off-Duty Paramedic
In a fortunate turn amidst the tragedy, an off-duty paramedic who was passing by the scene stopped to provide critical assistance. This individual administered CPR to the cyclist, a man, until the ambulance crews arrived to take over.
Upon arrival, paramedics quickly began advanced life support efforts at the location. Despite their dedicated and professional attempts, the man could not be saved and was declared deceased a short time later.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service provided details on the response: “Crews arrived to find the off-duty paramedic giving CPR to the cyclist, a man. The team of medics quickly began to administer advanced life support at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased a short time later.”
