The reduced timetable affects both local and express services on the Birmingham to London, Birmingham to Liverpool, and Birmingham to Shrewsbury lines. Some trains have been cancelled entirely, with others amalgamated into longer formations to manage demand.
Passengers are advised to travel during cooler periods, such as early morning or late evening, when restrictions may be lifted. The operator has also arranged for additional water points at major stations including Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, and Coventry.
