A National Express bus was involved in a three-vehicle collision on a busy Birmingham street, blocking the road for approximately two hours. The incident occurred on Kingstanding Road, near the junction with Elmbridge Road, at around 6.07pm on Thursday, July 2.
Details of the Collision
The bus collided with a Volkswagen Golf and another car. A photograph from the scene shows the Golf facing diagonally across the street in front of the bus. Emergency services attended the scene, and the road was closed for investigations.
No Injuries Reported
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that no one was injured in the crash. A spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a bus and two cars on Kingstanding Road at 6.07pm. One ambulance attended the scene. However, on arrival there were no patients requiring treatment."
Bus Diversions
Three bus services—33, 936, and 937—were diverted away from the area. A National Express spokesperson posted on X at around 6.20pm: "Kingstanding Road in Kingstanding. 33, 936, 937 diverting via Aldridge Road, Greenholm Road due to a collision." By 8.20pm, all services had returned to their normal routes.
