A man in his 20s sustained serious injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on the M5 motorway in Worcestershire, involving three cars and a van. The incident occurred on the southbound carriageway between Junction 5 (Droitwich) and Junction 6 (Worcester) at around 6:30pm on Monday, 23 October.

The crash involved a blue Ford Fiesta, a silver Vauxhall Astra, a white Ford Transit van, and a grey Audi A3. Emergency services, including West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police, attended the scene. The man, who was driving the Ford Fiesta, was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters. He was treated at the scene for serious injuries before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he remains in a stable condition.
