Motorists travelling on the M5 in the West Midlands are experiencing significant delays this morning following multiple lane closures caused by a broken-down vehicle. The incident is affecting the northbound carriageway approaching Junction 2, Oldbury, as of April 22.

According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, two lanes have been closed due to the breakdown, leading to a build-up of traffic that is stretching back approximately two and a half miles to Junction 3, Halesowen. The delays are persisting even after the morning rush hour, impacting drivers heading into the Black Country and Birmingham.
