A multi-vehicle collision on the M6 caused significant rush hour delays for motorists near Birmingham this morning. The incident occurred on the northbound carriageway after J5 A452 Chester Road (Castle Bromwich) at approximately 7.15am on Monday, August 24.

Recovery crews were dispatched to the scene following the collision. Initially, four cars were reported to have been involved, but an updated list of vehicles included an additional van, bringing the total to five vehicles.
Lanes three and four were closed to facilitate the recovery operation, leading to delays of up to an hour for motorists travelling through the area during the morning rush hour.
