West Mercia Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal collision on the A41 Newport bypass in Shropshire. The incident, which occurred near the Pickmere roundabout and close to Weston Park, involved a Porsche Taycan and a tractor towing a flatbed trailer.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 10:55pm on Tuesday 11 August. The driver of the Porsche, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Arrest Made on Suspicion of Dangerous Driving
A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The arrest follows the collision, which took place on the A41 Newport bypass from the Pickmere roundabout. The tractor involved was towing a flatbed trailer at the time of the crash.

The spokesperson added: "Sadly, the driver of the Porsche, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been made aware and are being supported by specially trained officers. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving."
