Emergency services are continuing a major search for a 47-year-old man who disappeared after leaving his home in St Davids, Pembrokeshire, to go rock climbing on Wednesday. Ben, whose surname has not been released, was reported missing after he failed to return or make contact with loved ones for several hours.
Search underway in two coastal areas
Dyfed-Powys Police believe Ben intended to visit either the Carreg y Barcud area near Trelerw or Caer Bwdy Bay, both located outside St Davids. The alarm was raised when his family and friends became concerned, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
The Coastguard has deployed both a boat and a helicopter to assist in the search, which has been ongoing since Wednesday. Despite these efforts, Ben has not yet been located, and the operation continues.
Description of missing man
Ben is described as approximately 5ft 11in tall, with an athletic build, short brown or greying hair, and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was carrying an orange bag and wearing black climbing shoes with an orange strap.
