Two Motorcyclists Sustain Life-Changing Injuries in Midlands A47 Collision
Two motorcycle riders have sustained serious, life-changing injuries following a significant multi-vehicle collision on the A47 in the Midlands. The incident, which occurred on Saturday morning, March 21, involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Honda motorcycle, and a white Ford Kuga car.
Emergency Response and Hospitalizations
A total of four individuals were transported to hospital by paramedics for medical treatment. The two riders are reported to have suffered injuries described as serious and life-altering, while the two occupants of the car were also taken to hospital, though the extent of their injuries has not been detailed. The A47 was temporarily closed to facilitate the emergency services' response but has since been reopened to traffic.
Police Investigation and Witness Appeal
Leicestershire Police have launched an investigation into the collision and are actively appealing for witnesses to come forward. The crash took place at approximately 11:10 AM near the junction with North Luffenham and the Wireless Hill Industrial Estate. Authorities are urging anyone who was driving along the A47 at that time and may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
