Urgent Vehicle Recall Issued for 15 Car Models Across the UK
Automotive giant Stellantis has initiated an urgent safety recall affecting approximately 10,000 vehicles in the United Kingdom. The recall targets specific models manufactured between October 2025 and February 2026, citing serious concerns that engine components could detach while driving.
Critical Engine Defect Identified
The recall centers on vehicles equipped with the 1.5-litre BlueHDi diesel engine. Stellantis has identified a potential fault with the water pump pulley, where the sprocket may separate from the shaft. In a worst-case scenario, this could lead to small parts falling onto the roadway, posing a significant hazard to road users.
The manufacturer warns that this defect could result in sudden loss of engine power or components detaching during operation. Both passenger cars and commercial vans are included in this safety action, with all affected vehicles having been purchased during the specified four-month period.

Repair Process and Previous Recalls
Stellantis has committed to contacting all affected vehicle owners directly to arrange inspection and necessary repairs at authorized service centers. The company emphasizes that these repairs will be conducted at no cost to consumers.
This marks the third significant recall from Stellantis in recent months. In February 2026, the company recalled vehicles with 1.2-litre PureTech mild hybrid petrol engines due to fire risks. Just weeks later in April, a separate recall affected 44,000 UK vehicles after discovering a fault that could allow water leakage into the engine bay, creating potential fire hazards during wet driving conditions.
The manufacturer states that all recalls are being conducted voluntarily as part of their commitment to vehicle safety and customer protection. Owners of potentially affected vehicles are advised to await official communication from Stellantis or contact their local dealership for verification and next steps.
