Business Coaching Organisation Calls for Enhanced Support to Unlock Midlands Economic Potential
Big Business Entrepreneurs (BBE), a prominent UK business coaching organisation, is urging for more targeted assistance for business owners throughout the Midlands region. This call to action comes as recent business population data highlights the area's significant yet uneven economic landscape.
Midlands Hosts 8.1% of UK Businesses with Notable Density Variations
The latest figures reveal that the West Midlands region is home to 965,903 companies, accounting for 8.1% of the entire UK business base. However, business density varies considerably across the area, with major urban centres significantly outperforming surrounding regions.
Adam Stott, founder of Big Business Entrepreneurs, emphasised the region's potential and challenges. "With vast industrial heritage but stark variation in business density, the Midlands is primed for business coaching to help founders scale and close the gap between its strongest and weakest-performing areas," he stated.
Coaching Seen as Key to Bridging Economic Gaps
Big Business Entrepreneurs asserts that effective coaching can assist founders in lower-density areas by:
- Building business confidence
- Strengthening digital marketing capabilities
- Accelerating scale-up strategies
"The Midlands has long been one of the UK's industrial engines, and today remains a region of enormous potential but more targeted support is needed to help business owners achieve that potential," Stott added.
Addressing Structural Challenges for Small Business Growth
Stott further explained that while the Midlands possesses world-class talent, industry, and innovation, many small business owners face difficulties accessing necessary structure and support for expansion. "Coaching gives them a roadmap so they can increase revenue, hire staff and contribute more fully to regional economic prosperity," he noted.
The organisation's advocacy highlights the critical role that tailored business support could play in unlocking the Midlands' full economic power, particularly in addressing disparities between different areas within the region.
