Abertillery Boy Walks 100 Miles for Autism Charity

An inspiring eight-year-old schoolboy from Abertillery has completed an incredible 100-mile walking challenge for charity. Reuben Pascoe smashed his original target by 40 miles during the month of June, raising £1,000 to support the National Autistic Society.

Personal Motivation

Reuben chose the charity because his uncle Sam has autism, a condition that affects how people interact with the world. Determined to make a difference, the youngster walked every single day in all kinds of weather to achieve his goal.

Balancing School and Sports

Throughout June, Reuben balanced his daily walks alongside school work and a busy schedule of five different sports. His dedication paid off, and he far exceeded his original 60-mile target.
