An exciting afternoon of music and literature is coming to Canton to raise vital funds for the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre. The event, which takes place on Saturday, July 4, features a summer concert alongside the official launch of a new children's book.
Book Launch and Concert
Written by Abdul M Seckam and illustrated by Alistair Stuart, the book is titled 'The Beautiful Lullaby'. Proceeds from the day will go directly to The Better Life Fund, a charity that supports the specialist unit based at Llandough Hospital.
The summer concert will feature performances from the Divas & Divos, with a line-up including Charley Medway, Harry Eilbeck, Eleanor Thompson, Emily Louise Langford, Arwel Gruffydd, Shaun Tucker, Maurice Pymble, Dylan Pymble, Luchia Ellul-Alimikhena, Millie Spiker, Lowri Hyde, and Charlotte Dalton.
Performers and Hosts
Louise Ryan, musical director, will lead the performances, while Helen Roberts will act as the accompanist for the afternoon. The entire event will be hosted by Baroness Ilora Finlay of Llandaff.
Acknowledged for their support of the project are Rachael Davies, Hannah Sian Gethin-Pymble, Carys Matthews, Phoebe Traas, Radio Cardiff - Culture Cardiff, Hegsy And The Elements, Wayne Courtney, and Nathan Rhys Wyburn.
