Five Pets Seek Forever Homes: Dudley Charity's Urgent Christmas Appeal
Dudley's Raven's Rescue seeks homes for five pets

A Dudley-based animal charity has issued a heartfelt plea to find permanent, loving homes for five adorable pets in its care, hoping they can be settled in time for the festive season.

Meet the Animals Waiting for a Fresh Start

Raven's Rescue, founded by Sarah Price in 2012, currently has five four-legged friends ready for adoption. The charity, which supports unwanted and neglected animals, ensures every creature receives full veterinary care, behavioural assessments in foster homes, and is vaccinated, treated for parasites, neutered, and microchipped before being put forward for a new family.

The rescue also offers support to owners who, due to changing circumstances, can no longer care for their beloved pets.

Ben: The Nervous Senior Gentleman

First is Ben, a 13-year-old dog who requires a patient and understanding owner. Described as a nervous boy who takes time to trust, he needs a calm, adult-only home with no other pets or children. Once he feels secure, Ben loves going for walks and will bark politely to ask for a treat. He is reportedly spotlessly clean in the home and enjoys travelling by car.

Mali and Bailey: The Bonded Best Friends

Next is a bonded pair who must be rehomed together. Mali, a nine-year-old golden retriever, is a low-maintenance girl who loves lounging on rugs or in sunny spots. She is loving and enjoys fuss, but has anxieties around car travel and has an ongoing health condition needing management. She would thrive with an owner home for most of the day.

Her lifelong companion is Bailey, a 12-year-old cat who is spritely and affectionate on her own terms. Bailey enjoys sunbathing and watching the world from a window, showing little desire to go outside. Prospective adopters should note Bailey also has a health condition that would need discussion with the rescue.

Draco and Flynn: The Playful Younger Companions

Draco is a confident young cat who loves to explore and play with toys. While not a lap cat, he is beginning to enjoy cuddles and human company, and could live as an only cat or with another feline friend.

Flynn is a male kitten, born on June 19, 2025, from a litter of five. He is described as playful, healthy, and loving everyone and everything he meets.

How You Can Help This Dudley Charity

Anyone who believes they could offer one of these animals the forever home they deserve is urged to act. Raven's Rescue requires potential adopters to fill out an enquiry form on their website. The process involves a home check, and a donation applies to successful adoptions to help the charity continue its vital work.

This appeal highlights the ongoing need for responsible pet ownership and the wonderful work done by local animal rescues across the West Midlands.
