An East Midlands football supporters club has donated £900 to six charities supporting people across the UK, following a member vote. Everton Supporters Club East Midlands (ESCEM) announced that the funds will be shared between charities selected by the club’s members through an internal vote, reflecting causes that have touched the lives of members and the wider community.
Chosen Charities
The chosen charities are Everton in the Community, Dementia Friends, Action for Children, Macmillan Cancer Support, Mind, and Marie Curie.
About the Club
The supporters club is an official affiliate of Everton Football Club and a registered not-for-profit organisation. Alongside supporting matchday travel, the club plays an active role in bringing together Everton fans across the East Midlands.
Statements from Club Leaders
Keith Hannah, Chair of ESCEM, said: “Football has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about friendship, community, shared experiences, and supporting those who need it most. These donations reflect those values and the generosity our members have shown throughout the year. We’d like to thank everyone who has contributed.”
Colin Drury, treasurer of the club, added: “These donations are only possible thanks to the continued support of our members. Through subscriptions, fundraising initiatives, and the hard work of volunteers, we can both sustain the club and give something back to the wider community.”
