A fundraising campaign has been launched to support the bereaved family of a 16-year-old girl who drowned at a popular beauty spot near Tamworth. Lillianna Tomlinson lost her life after getting into difficulty in the water at Kingsbury Water Park on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25, during a heatwave.
Emergency rescue teams arrived at the scene at 6.10pm and conducted an extensive search, recovering her body at 7.20pm. The incident has left the community in shock.
Family Friend Organizes Fundraiser
Family friend Jayne Robert set up a GoFundMe page to help Lillianna's family with funeral and memorial costs. As of now, more than £4,800 has been raised. Jayne expressed her desire to give Lillianna the send-off she deserves and to support her family during this difficult time.
Jayne described Lillianna as a bright, kind, and caring individual with a beautiful smile and a loving heart. She brought laughter and joy to those around her, and her loss has created an unimaginable void. Jayne noted that Lillianna was more than a best friend to her daughter; she was a sister in spirit and a constant source of support.

The fundraiser aims to cover funeral expenses and memorial costs, ensuring Lillianna receives a beautiful farewell. Jayne urged people to donate any amount, no matter how small, and to share the page if unable to contribute financially. She emphasized that Lillianna's impact was immeasurable, despite her short life, and she will be loved and remembered every day.
