A fundraising event promising an amazing day for Loros Hospice and Leicester itself has been arranged for this weekend. On Saturday, May 9, at 11am, motorbikes will gather at Stanton Lakes in Stoney Stanton, departing promptly at noon for a short ride to the Leicestershire County Cricket Ground.
Gala Day Activities
At the cricket ground, a gala day will feature a variety of fun-packed activities. Lionel the Loros lion and Filbert Fox will be present around 1.15pm, offering high fives and photo opportunities for about 20 minutes. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue and Leicestershire Police will also attend as part of community engagement. Additional attractions include Roaming Giraffe and a coffee cart offering a range of food and drinks. Andymans club will provide advice and support to men in crisis or needing assistance.
Entertainment and Raffle
A four-piece band called Beats Workin from Leicester will perform throughout the day in the marquee. A large raffle will offer prizes from Porsche Leicester, Leicestershire County Cricket Ground, Leicester Riders, Santapod raceway, and many more.
A £5 donation is requested per bike, and admission to the marquee is £3, with free entry for children. All proceeds will directly support Loros Hospice, which provides care, love, and dignity to people at the end of life.
